School visits
I do visit schools sometimes, but as I already spend three days a week teaching I don't have a lot of time. If your school is in a wild and rocky place like the one in the photo I'll be happy to visit you if you'll just pay for the train fare (or boat fare or plane fare). It's so flat where I live in East Anglia. The only rocks around here are the ones they bring in on boats from Norway. They dump them on the beach to try and stop the sea from eating the land away!
OK. Don't worry all you flatlanders. I'll visit you, too if you like. Writing's such hard work that I'll do almost anything to avoid it – even spend an extra day in a school. I'll read books, tell stories, or even play the banjo. Email me if you'd like to arrange a visit.
